Greater Nashua Area Branch NAACP stands in celebration of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation to the United States Supreme Court. The confirmation is an occasion of tears of pure joy, love, excitement, and awe! We congratulate her on her many accomplishments and accolades as a woman who's beautifully black inside and out. The Senate has confirmed Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as the first Black woman and the first past public defender to serve as an Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court. After sitting through the horrible, biased, and racist Judiciary Committee hearings, it's finally over. I watched as representatives tried to destroy her reputation and belittle her accomplishments. As Congressman Booker commented, "you are here because God put you here." Obviously, this is where she belongs! No one can take what God has for you! You are admired by the country and community for your strong ability to stay calm through such a racist confirmation. Celebration is in order! Linda Gathright President, Greater Nashua NAACP
